The 2007 – 2008 school year was an exceptional one for the Student Athletes who
participated in many games and track meets at Plumb Hill Playing Fields. 
Long standing records were broken and new milestones of achievement were set. 
The Boys Soccer Team captured the Berkshire League Championship in the fall and
the Boys Track Team carried the torch into the spring season and earned the Berkshire
League Championship title as well.  These team accomplishments were further accented by
many individual honors as members of the boys and girls teams were selected to the
All-Berkshire League and All-State teams.  Our community should have a tremendous amount
of pride in the student athletes of Litchfield.  They are not only excelling in their academics but
are also bringing their tenacious appetites to do well onto the playing fields and the track.
It is also wonderful how the broader community has come to enjoy Plumb Hill Playing Fields. 
There does not seem to be a day that passes when one or several people, of all ages, take to the
open space for personal recreation, playing a game of catch with a son or daughter, walking or
running on the track to boost their own fitness, or just sitting on the hillside, enjoying the beauty,
serenity and inspiration of the setting. Come & Enjoy!
